一般现在时态

一般现在时态(present simple)的形式。

一般现在时态能表达的意义：

• 现在的事实
  • I am 30 years old.
  • I am Chinese.
  • I live in Shenzhen.
  • He comes from China.
• 现在时常或有时或从不发生的事情，此种用法经常和频率副词搭配使用。常见的频率副词(组)包括：always, often, sometimes, usually, from time to time, rarely, never, 等等。
  • I play soccer every weekend.
  • I often go shopping with my wife.
  • I sometimes go swimming. 
  • I never go fishing.
  • I always live in China.
• 永恒的事实
  • The earth moves around the Sun.
  • The human body contains 206 bones.
  • Light travels at 300, 000 kilometers per second.
  • The Sun rises from the east.
  • Sheep eat grass.
  • A king beats a jack.
  • Many Chinese like herbal tea.
• 已经安排好的将来确定要发生的事情
  • The airplane leaves at 8:30 next morning.
  • He flies to Beijing tomorrow.
  • The school term starts on Sep 1st.
  • Our holiday starts on Feb 2nd.
• 主句是将来时，从句用一般现在时表达将要发生的事情
  • I will go home after I finish my work.
  • You must finish your work before you go home.
  • We will cancel our plan if it rains.
  • They won’t leave unless they are forced to.
  • I will call you as soon as I get the result.
• 描述计划/考虑中的事情：
  • According to our manager’s plan, I welcome the guests and you give the presentation.
• 在零条件复合句(zero-conditional compound sentences)中，主句和从句都可以用一般现在时态表述将来。例如：
  • Ice melts if you heat it.
  • Plants die if they don’t get enough water.
• 一般现在时态还可以用来讲述过去发生的事情，例如：
  • 讲述故事时可以用一般现在时态替代过去时态和完成时态。
    • I was walking down the street when suddenly a man comes up to me and tells me he has lost his wallet and asks me to lend him some money. Well, he looks a bit dangerous so I’m not sure what to do and while we are standing there...
  • 新闻标题也经常用一般现在时态来表述已经发生的事情。例如：
    • 40-year-old wins gold metal.
  • 电视节目、体育节目中经常用一般现在时态来报道、评论正在发生的事情。例如：
    • Messi dribbles round the defender and shoots.
    • I chop the chives and add them to the mixture.
  • 总括一本书、一部电影、话剧等
    • Harry Potter goes to Hogwarts School. He has two close friends there...
    • Shakespeare’s Hamlet is the Prince of Denmark. One night he sees his father’s ghost. The ghost tells him he has been murdered...
    • In Hamlet, Ophelia drowns in a stream.
  • 引用某人的话，即使该人是在过去讲的话，通常也用一般现在时态。例如：
    • Bill says he is ready for the coming competition.
• 注意，静态 verb可以用来表达现在，不管其算表达的状态是永久的、习惯性的还是临时的，都采用一般现在时态，而不会采用现在进行时态，即使所表达的是临时正在持续的状态。例如：
  • I am happy.
  • I know that man.
  • He needs an assistant.
  • I have a sports bike.
  • I love her.
