What  an  awful  morning!  I  was  fine  when  I  went  to  bed  last  night,  but  I  felt  terrible  when  I  woke  up  this   morning.  I  had  a  cough,  a  fever  and  a  runny  nose!  I  really  wanted  to  school  to  see  my  friends,  but  I  knew  I  should not  go  to  school  when I  was  ill. 

Gramma  told  me  to  take  some  pills  and  go  back  to  sleep,  but  I  could not  sleep  because  so  many  people  wanted  to  talk  to  me!

First,  my  friend,  Tracy,  called  and  told  me  to  get  dressed  and  go  to  school.  ‘No,  I  should  not   go  to  school! I  do  not  want  to  make  other  people  ill. ’  I   said.  ‘ Well  Jenny,  I  think  you  should  come.  You will  feel  better  after  seeing  us.’  she  said.  But  I  did  not  take  her  advice  and  tried  to  go  back  to  sleep.

Then  my  friend,  David,  called  me  on  my  laptop.  When  he  saw  me  on  the  camera,  he  said,  ‘You  look  terrible. What’s  the  matter  with  you?’  ‘I  don’t  feel  well.  I  have  a  fever.’  I  said.  He  told  me  to  rest  and  drink  orange  juice  because  juice  is  rich  in  vitamin C.  But  when  I  asked  Mum  for  some  orange  juice,  she  told  me  not  to  drink  any  because  it  always  gives  me  a  stomachache.
